The (Group) Financial Controller is on the one hand the financial accounting and reporting expert, and on the other hand the leader of the accounting and reporting function within Elacin group. The role extends across the entire Elacin Group and includes the integrated Dutch organisation, consisting of head office and sales location, as well as the sales locations in Germany, Switzerland and France and the production location in Romania
The role provides for the construction and continuous improvement of the accounting function that is necessary to fulfil the various reporting obligations within Elacin Group as accurately and efficiently as possible.
As a Group Financial Controller, you will contribute to Elacin's mission and vision by providing financial stability and transparency, harmonizing international processes and ensuring quality and compliance from a financial perspective.

Educational & experience requirements
- Completed university education in Accountancy or Business Economics, Finance or similar. RA/CPA/ACCA is a strong advantage.
- 7–12 years of relevant experience, ideally mix of Big4 audit and Group Financial Control in an international environment.
- Demonstrable experience with consolidation, external reporting and internal controls; experience with consolidation software (Lucanet/HFM etc) and ERP (SAP/Oracle/MS BC); strong Excel skills, experience with Power BI is a plus.

Responsabilities

• Group Accounting & Consolidation

Responsible for accurate month-end and year-end closing at Elacin group level;
Keeping balance sheet files and reconciliations;
Consolidation of all entities;
Monitoring intercompany processes and eliminations.
Result: a structured accounting at group level and per operating company, which leads to the reporting of correct and complete figures.

• External Reporting & Audits

Preparation and documentation of the consolidated financial statements;
Coordinating the preparation of financial statements of foreign entities with local accounting service providers ;
Coordinating the preparation of corporate tax returns with local tax service providers;
Primary point of contact for the external auditor; preparing audit files and following up on findings;
Monitoring laws and regulations and deadlines for filing.
Result: a reliable, timely and fully compliant external reporting process, in which annual accounts and tax returns are delivered accurately, audits are carried out efficiently and without significant findings, and the organisation structurally complies with all relevant legal requirements.

• Internal Control & Compliance

Designing and implementing a risk/controls framework and monitoring the operation of key internal controls.
Result: an organization where risks are recognized and adequately mitigated.

• Performance management

Leading the accounting team (3 FTE), including providing coaching on the job, continuous improvement and learning;
Conducting appraisal interviews
