About the role:
We are looking for a Field Sales Manager to lead the Retail Field organization across Romania, overseeing the performance of multiple Sales Managers and a large store network. The Director will be responsible for defining and executing the commercial and operational strategy, ensuring outstanding customer experience, sales growth, and team development across the entire field structure.
This is a key leadership role with high impact on the region’s retail results, team engagement, and alignment with global brand strategy.
Main responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Sales / Area Managers responsible for the operational and commercial performance of stores in the assigned region.
- Define and implement the retail strategy for the field organization, ensuring alignment with corporate goals, brand positioning, and local market needs.
- Drive sales and profitability growth across the retail network by monitoring KPIs and implementing data-driven action plans.
- Oversee the execution of customer experience strategies, ensuring consistency and excellence across all stores.
- Collaborate with central functions (e.g. Marketing, HR, Store Planning, Training) to support field execution and operational excellence.
- Lead retail transformation and change management projects (e.g. new tools, omnichannel initiatives, pilot projects) across the field organization.
- Ensure effective workforce planning, recruitment, and retention of talent within the store and field teams.
- Establish high-performance culture through clear performance expectations, development plans, recognition, and accountability.
- Own and manage the retail P&L for the assigned market/region in partnership with Finance and HQ Retail teams.
- Monitor competitor activity and market dynamics to identify risks and opportunities at local level.
- Represent the field voice within senior leadership forums and contribute to strategic planning.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, policies, and operational procedures.
- Minimum 12-15 years of experience in Retail, including multi-level field management roles.
- Proven track record in leading large teams across regions or countries, ideally in the retail sector.
- Strong commercial and business acumen, with the ability to drive results and manage retail P&L.
- Excellent leadership and team development skills.
- Strategic mindset with strong execution capabilities.
- Experience in working cross-functionally and in matrix organizations.
