Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s Degree & 1-3 years of relevant experience
- Awareness of enterprise endpoint management software.
- Awareness of infrastructure-related technologies like hardware, virtualization, networking.
- Basic level of scripting E.G. PowerShell, AppleScript, Bash, Perl, Python.
- Some experience with large scale deployments across hundreds of user endpoints.
- Awareness of Asset Management and Inventory tooling to accurately track the current endpoint real estate.
Mac:
- Awareness of deploying and maintaining JAMF or similar enterprise Mac fleet management solutions.
- Experience in supporting MacOS in a large-scale, enterprise environment.
- Some experience supporting escalations for MacOS, including troubleshooting and resolutions with clear documentation.
Windows:
- Awareness of VDI solutions E.G. Azure Windows Virtual Desktop, AWS Workspaces.
- Awareness of Microsoft Intune and desktop deployments in a large-scale environment.
- Some experience supporting escalations for Windows, including troubleshooting and resolutions with clear documentation.
- Awareness of cloud services, specifically Microsoft's Intune / AWS.
- Basic experience with Windows administration in an enterprise environment E.G. AD, DHCP, DNS..
Other:
- Awareness of managed enterprise browsers
- Some experience of printer management solutions
- Some experience of IOS / Android Mobile Device Management
Job Description
By collaborating with more senior members of the team, this role is responsible for helping deliver a compliant and frictionless device experience to our colleagues.
This introductory role provides operational support for the wider endpoints team and advanced troubleshooting support for IT Support
This role provides a hybrid way of working with an onsite presence of 2 days/week.
Key Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Works with the wider team which designs, builds and manages the systems that manage our end user devices including laptops, corporate mobile phones, enterprise browsers etc
- Delivers a high level of problem solving and troubleshooting, providing technical guidance to less experienced engineers in IT support.
- Works with more senior engineers to ensure all endpoints are matching global security standards and running compliant applications and operating systems.
- Provides operational support to the wider endpoints team, including reporting, remediation, Service request and indent management.
- Helps communicate changes effectively to endpoint users across the business.
