Ideal Candidate

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Financial Accountant who will ensure the accurate management of the company's accounting activities, compliance with applicable tax legislation, and provide strategic support to the management team in the financial decision-making process.

Requirements:
  • University degree in Economics (Accounting, Finance, or Audit).
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience;
  • Strong knowledge of Romanian tax and accounting legislation;
  • Experience using accounting software (e.g., SAGA, ERP systems);
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel;
  • Working knowledge of English (at least intermediate level).

Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Record all financial transactions relevant to the company's industry, including supplier invoices, customer invoicing, project-related costs, expense reports, etc., and operate fixed assets (additions, depreciation, disposals), depending on assigned responsibilities.
  • Verify and record accounting documents related to ongoing projects (work-in-progress services, acceptance protocols for completed works, etc.).
  • Handle accounting for turnkey projects and services in progress, ensuring proper recognition of revenue and cost according to statutory and IFRS standards.
  • Participate in the financial year-end closing processes, reconciliation, and asset inventory activities.
  • Actively contribute to the preparation of monthly/quarterly tax returns and statutory/interim/semi-annual/annual financial statements and other regulatory reporting (e.g., statistics, NBR reports).
  • Manage intercompany transactions, including reconciliation, proper documentation, and compliance with group accounting policies.
  • Ensure compliance with transfer pricing regulations, including maintaining documentation, monitoring related-party transactions, and supporting audits or inquiries.
