Ideal Candidate

Experience in freight forwarding, air freight, road transport (1-2 years).
Knowledge of international transportation and customs procedures.
Familiarity with transport management systems and Microsoft Office.
Understanding of Incoterms and air cargo documentation - is an advantage.

Job Description
The Air Freight Road Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring road transportation associated with air freight shipments. This role ensures timely collection and delivery of cargo to and from airports while maintaining excellent customer service, compliance with transportation regulations, and effective communication with carriers, internal teams and customers.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate domestic and international road transportation for air freight shipments.
Arrange pick-ups and deliveries to and from airports, warehouses, and customer locations.
Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve transportation issues or delays.
Communicate with partners, trucking companies, customs brokers, and customers regarding shipment status.
Prepare and verify transport documentation, including CMRs, delivery orders, and shipping instructions.
Ensure compliance with customs procedures, safety regulations, and company policies.
Optimize transport routes and carrier selection to achieve cost-effective and timely deliveries.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to service quality and delivery performance.
Maintain accurate shipment records in the transport management system (TMS).
Handle customer inquiries and provide regular shipment updates.
Support the air freight operations team during peak periods and urgent shipments.
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Working Conditions
Office-based role with frequent communication with partners, Air OPS team and customers.
May require flexibility to support urgent or time-critical shipments outside standard working hours.
