About the Opportunity

Global Recruitment Bridge (GRB), an international recruitment agency based in Romania, is recruiting experienced Senior Project Managers for an established shipyard company in Malta.

The successful candidates will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising shipyard projects, ensuring successful execution within agreed technical specifications, budgets, and deadlines.

This is a long-term career opportunity for professionals with relevant experience in shipbuilding, ship repair, marine engineering, or related industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate internal resources, technical departments, operational teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.

  • Define project objectives, scope, and technical requirements in cooperation with relevant stakeholders.

  • Supervise shipyard operations and ensure efficient coordination between different departments.

  • Assign responsibilities, monitor project progress, and maintain accurate project documentation.

  • Manage changes to project scope, schedules, resources, and associated costs.

  • Monitor project performance, identify potential risks, and implement corrective measures.

  • Ensure projects are delivered according to technical specifications, contractual obligations, deadlines, and budgets.

  • Provide guidance to repair teams, resolve operational challenges, and support efficient project delivery.

  • Prepare progress reports and communicate project developments to management.

Candidate Requirements

  • Relevant professional experience in shipbuilding, ship repair, marine engineering, or similar technical industries.

  • Previous experience coordinating technical projects, operational teams, contractors, or suppliers.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Naval Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience in the marine sector.

  • Strong project planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and manage competing priorities.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

  • Advanced English proficiency is essential.

  • Knowledge of Italian or other additional languages is an advantage.

  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.

Citizenship and Work Authorization

EU citizens are preferred due to the time required to obtain work permits for non-EU nationals.

Suitable non-EU candidates who are already legally residing in Malta may also be considered.

Salary and Employment Conditions

  • Annual salary: €48,000–€65,000 gross, depending on experience and qualifications.

  • Full-time, indefinite employment contract.

  • Employer-paid health insurance.

  • Paid annual leave in accordance with applicable Maltese legislation.

  • Standard working schedule: Monday to Friday, generally starting between 07:00 and 08:00 and finishing at approximately 17:00.

  • Additional working hours or weekend work may be required depending on operational needs. These hours are considered part of the overall salary package and are not paid separately.

Relocation and Accommodation

The workplace is located in Paola, Malta. Remote or hybrid working arrangements are not available.

Candidates must be prepared to relocate independently, as the employer does not provide a guaranteed relocation package.

Depending on availability and management approval, temporary accommodation within the shipyard’s facilities may be offered for a few weeks following relocation.

Such assistance is assessed individually and cannot be guaranteed.

Application Process

Interested candidates are invited to submit their CV in English through eJobs.

Applications will be reviewed by Global Recruitment Bridge (GRB), and shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an initial screening interview.
