Blackline Systems, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer with expertise in Microsoft Fabric to join our growing data team. This role will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining our next-generation data platform, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability for critical business intelligence and analytics initiatives.
Design, develop, and implement robust and scalable data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric, including Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, and Power BI.
Lead the architectural design and implementation of data warehousing solutions within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.
Optimize data ingestion, transformation, and storage processes for efficiency and performance.
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other engineering teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Develop and maintain data models, ensuring data quality, consistency, and integrity.
Implement and enforce data governance policies and best practices within the Fabric environment.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex data-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
Mentor junior data engineers and contribute to the overall technical growth of the team.
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Microsoft Fabric and data engineering technologies.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on cloud-based data platforms.
Proven hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including extensive knowledge of Data Factory, Synapse Analytics (SQL Pools, Spark Pools), and Power BI.
Expertise in SQL and experience with various database technologies (e.g., relational, NoSQL).
Strong programming skills in Python or Scala.
Experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing concepts.
Familiarity with Azure cloud services beyond Fabric (e.g., Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure DevOps).
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
Microsoft Azure Data Engineer Associate certification (DP-203) or equivalent is a plus.
