Role Description

This full-time Field Services Engineer Medical Devices role is a hybrid position based in Bucharest, Constanta or Iasi, with some work-from-home flexibility. The role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining medical devices and related software at customer sites and remotely. Daily tasks include performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing technical issues, and carrying out repairs or adjustments to ensure equipment reliability and compliance. The Field Services Engineer provides on-site and remote technical support, guides customers on proper device usage, and documents service activities and findings in line with company standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong field service skills, including on-site installation, configuration, and support of medical devices. 3 years or more of experience ideal.

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and technical support to diagnose, analyze, and resolve hardware and software issues.

  • Experience with preventive maintenance activities to ensure ongoing device performance, safety, and regulatory compliance.

  • Demonstrated customer service capabilities, with the ability to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and build trust with healthcare professionals.

  • Relevant technical education (e.g., degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, IT, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, service manuals, and schematics.

  • Comfort with hybrid work, including travel to customer sites in South and East part of Romania (Bucharest, Iasi, Constanta).

  • Basic software skills and basic networking skills (virtual machines, remote support for software issues, diagnose networking issues).

  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail in documentation and reporting.

  • Working knowledge of medical device safety standards and healthcare environments is an advantage.

  • Fluency in English and Romanian, with clear written and verbal communication skills.
