Network Engineer

The successful person for this role needs to have a lot of motivation, attention to detail, follow-through skills and who is a self-starter. Typical responsibilities of the job include:

- Monitoring network and systems health, responding appropriately to network alerts and events to diagnose and troubleshoot network issues
- Managing network infrastructure: routers, firewalls, switches
- Elaboration / Implementation / Monitoring of IT security policy
- Troubleshoot, isolate, implement and recommend corrective action based on network problems
- Deploy, upgrade and maintain environment
- Implement and test different network designs
- Documentation: network diagrams and procedures

Requirements:

- A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self starter, ability to work on multiple tasks and prioritize them accordingly
- IPSEC , SSL VPN Knowledge
- Experience with routing protocols
- Experience in configuring: switches, routers, firewalls
- Knowledge of network principles and practices (L2- STP, VLAN, EtherChannel)
- Conducts root cause analyses for incidents and signals any improvement requirements;
- Knowledge of routing protocols: EIGRP, OSPF, BGP
- Good analytical mind, conceptually and solution-oriented thinking
- Ability to evolve and learn new things
- Able to troubleshoot quickly and carefully
