Mechanical Engineer

•CAD skills (2D and 3D), preferably in UG NX
•Hands on experience on GD&T, tolerance studies, statistical analysis, DFMEA
•Knowledge in interpreting FEA report
•Design for Manufacturing/Assembly (DFM/DFA) Experience (Plastic, sheet metal, casting)
•Problem solving skills using systematic tools (8D, fishbone, cause/effect diagrams)
•Knowledge of the Product development process
•Effective oral and written communication skills
•Microsoft Office products: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Project, Visio
•Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent science degree
•Proven experience in product design and development

We are currently building our in-house Engineering staff and are looking for a talented Product Development Engineer to join our team.
In the Connected Mobility Business Unit, we are at the forefront of the connected car movement. In this role you will have the opportunity to lead the design engineering of new and existing connector and terminal products from concept to production.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design efforts for new connectors, cables, and networking products in the automotive industry. This includes following the product development process, preparing design presentations, evaluating customer requirements, conducting risk assessments, and validating designs. You will also provide technical support to customers, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with various departments. Additionally, you will support current products, contribute to continuous improvement, and adhere to quality standards and procedures.
