Maintenance Engineer

Mediaș, Romania | Automecanica S.A. | Full Time

At Automecanica S.A., a member of the Otokar family, we are expanding our Maintenance Organization and looking for talented professionals to join our growing team.

If you have experience in industrial maintenance, production equipment maintenance, preventive and predictive maintenance, automation systems, utilities management, or manufacturing operations support, we would like to hear from you.

Why You?

  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.

  • You have experience in maintenance functions within manufacturing, automotive, defense, heavy industry, or similar sectors.

  • You are familiar with preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance methodologies.

  • You have knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation systems.

  • You have experience in troubleshooting equipment failures and implementing sustainable solutions.

  • You have a good understanding of technical drawings, equipment manuals, and maintenance documentation.

  • You are familiar with maintenance management systems (CMMS) and maintenance planning processes.

  • You have experience with root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • You have strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • You are proactive, result-oriented, and committed to operational excellence.

  • You have a excellent command of English.

What Do We Expect From You?

  • Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of production equipment and facilities.

  • Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.

  • Monitor equipment performance and identify improvement opportunities to minimize downtime.

  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation-related failures.

  • Support the installation, commissioning, and optimization of new machinery and equipment.

  • Analyze maintenance data and prepare performance reports and action plans.

  • Implement root cause analyses and corrective actions for recurring equipment issues.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and maintenance standards.

  • Collaborate closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to improve operational efficiency.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, productivity, and cost optimization.

  • Support spare parts management and maintenance budget control.

  • Promote a strong maintenance and reliability culture throughout the organization.
