IT Hardware Architect

- IT/ Computers/ Automatics/Cybernetics University degree
- 3 - 6 years of experience in HW architecture
- Experience in at least two IT disciplines in a client/server or service-oriented architecture (SOA) environment, including technical architecture, network design, application development, middleware, servers and storage, database management, and operations.
- Good knowledge of the HW architecture applied on large and very large Information Systems frameworks (including methods for projecting the redundant systems, automatically monitories, high availability)
- Good technical knowledge in IT domain, operating systems, security, networking, tolerance towards errors, big applications on Windows/Unix/Linux, data structures, enterprise client
- English Language – fluently
- Proficiency with MS Project, Office, Visio

Role:
Design the Hardware architecture of the system(s) in order to sustain the current and future business goals and needs, IT strategy and produce Systems Roadmap.

Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze business specification in order to find the proper HW solution for implementation in cooperation with IT Solution Architect and system integrators from IT.
• Participate on application or infrastructure development projects to fit systems or infrastructure to the technical architecture, and identify when it is necessary to modify the technical architecture to accommodate project needs.
• Review technical design specifications, to ensure compatibility between HW architecture designed and detailed design of the solution.
• Recommend HW in accordance with Systems Roadmap based on business requirements, software/product roadmaps and technical constraints in cooperation with solution architecs and system integrators from IT.
• Analyze the current technology environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement.
• Analyze technology industry and market trends, and determine their potential impact on the IT architecture
• Develop and maintain HW architecture repository for current and future architecture on short and middle term.
• Issue architecture guidelines to be used during solution design and Systems Roadmap planning for HW area
• Oversee and facilitate the evaluation and selection of hardware and software technology and product standards, as well as the design of standard configurations.
