CANDIDATUL IDEAL:
Mandatory skills:
- Certified in Red Hat / Sun Solaris Administrator desired;
- Practical experience from virtualization on Unix. (RHEL 5.x & Solaris);
- System administration;
- Storage management in Unix environment;
- Access management in Unix environment;
- Knowledge of zones, file systems, OS patching, Veritas Volume Manager, SVM;
- Capacity management;
- Event Management (analyze alerts and logs);
- Handle incident (Create, update and maintain Knowledge base articles);
- Handle incident (Knowledge transfer to Service Desk (via Support KB));
- Incident handling;
- Problem resolution;
- Root Cause Analysis;
- Initiate, assess, test, verify, document and quality assure system updates;
- Create and implement change requests for incidents/problems as needed;
- Attend change meetings as required and discuss technical aspects with approver;
- Verify that no new issues have occurred after production update;
- Deploy & Provide (Deployment);
- Manage Service Delivery (execute direct orders, respond to standard requests).
Nice to have skills:
- Management infrastructure tools (NAGIOS, OpenView etc);
- Windows 2003/2008 monitoring & troubleshooting;
- Cisco Firewalls, switches and routers;
- Virtualization - VMWare.
