Specialist waste management

Qualifications:
Education: Master’s degree in environmental management, natural resources, science, engineering, or related fields is required; Additional studies or specific training on environmental affairs, waste management, and environmental education are an asset.
Professional experience: At least four (4) years of professional experience in areas related to environmental science, natural resources management, waste management and capacity building is required; Experience with projects and initiatives related to waste management and capacity building is desired.
Regional experience: Working experience in the Africa and/or Asia regions and knowledge of regional and national stakeholders is preferable.
Language skills: Fluent in English (required); Knowledge of Romanian and French is an advantage.
Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communicator with the ability to present with confidence to a wide range of audiences and communicate technical concepts simply and clearly.
Research skills: Good desk research and analytical skills, combining communication and good understanding of environmental issues; ability to ask questions for clarification and interest in having two-way communication.
Software skills: Good command of excel, word, MS Power Point and other platforms.
Other skills: professionalism, ability to develop communications knowledge management products and tools including publications, reports and communication materials; Have strong report writing, communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities:
Build capacity in circular economy and waste and resources-related service line activities, working with other colleagues.
Develop and strengthen client relationships, winning new work to build team capacity.
Delivering and managing projects in line with budget, time and quality requirements.
Prepare bids and proposals.
Collaborate and build relationships with global networks and platforms in waste management and circular economy.

Work location: Romania, Cluj County.
Work permit: For non-EU candidates a work permit will be required. PCS will facilitate the work permit procedure which will take between 30-45 days.
