Quality Inspector

As a Quality Inspector your responsibilities will be to perform the Quality inspection of mechanical parts dimensionally, functionally, and visually to established work instructions, procedures, and drawings.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
* Reinforce our Quality culture to achieve Zero-defects by following procedures, reporting quality issues, and contributing to problem solving initiatives.
* Assure conformance to complex specifications by verifying mechanical parts dimensionally, functionally and and/or visually per established procedures, i.e. flatness, parallelism, concentricity.
* Demonstrates a high degree of knowledge and proficiency in:
+ Inspection tools and test equipment (i.e. coordinated measuring machine, optical comparator, Positive Material Identification (PMI), fixed or special gauges and/or test equipment and fixtures, surface plate, power sources, oscilloscope). Has the skills required to perform all inspection set-ups.
+ Basic math skills, trigonometry, geometry, and statistics.
+ Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing principles.
+ Complex coordinated measurement machine programming.
* Provide support to buyer and SQE for RMA material to suppliers; Performs first article inspections and reports.
* Responsible for the Quarantine area; Supports process capability analyses, SPC and data analysis for manufacturing processes and purchased product as required, in cooperation with the Quality Engineer
* Support the development of Collection / Inspection plans; May assist in calibration, inventory control & maintenance of controlled gauges, instruments & tooling specified by standards.
* Coordinate efforts with other work groups and suppliers in understanding inspection methods/issues; Develops and conducts trainings as required.
* Take initiative to identify and resolve problems relating to inspection procedures; Performs any miscellaneous task as required to support the business.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience: 3 years minimum in Quality Inspection
• Knowledge of the English language

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
• Relevant Experience – Interpret engineering drawings, Quality, Inspection
• PC operating knowledge, MS Office;
