Cobol Developer

At least 2 years experience with COBOL, CICS and DB2 (relevant projects in this environment);

Good command of English (knowledge of Italian is considered an advantage);

Availability for travel abroad (project requires a limited relocation period in Italy).

The Application Developer designs, develops and supports application solutions to meet customer requirements. He/she may design, develop and/or re-engineer highly complex application components, and integrate software packages, programs and reusable objects residing on multiple platforms.

The Application Developer is responsible for performing the following tasks:
- Develop technical specifications
- Translate business - IT requirements
- Interpret data models
- Use application development methodology and tools
- Use application strategies for maintenance
- Use full life cycle system development processes
- Use programming languages
- Use software configuration management (SCM) tools
