RESPONSABILITATI / BENEFICII:
He/she is responsible for managing and developing brands, coordinates actions to ensure achievement of objectives (sales in volume, value, profit, market share etc). Strategies consist of marketing mix decisions i.e. pricing, distribution, product features and promotion, mainly below the line.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strives to acquire a profound knowledge of the consumer (buying habits, trends, localities, demographics), the market (distribution channels, new retail formats etc), the political, legal, technological, social, economical environment and of course about competition. To achieve all these he conducts research either performed internally, by own means, or through agencies.
Attends conferences, is member of relevant organizations (chambers of commerce etc), regularly visits the market and is constantly updated though press, the Internet etc.
Executes ready Marketing plans that add up to the company’s basic forecasted results in terms of volume, value, profitability and (Advertising & Promotional) budgets. These plans are built in cooperation with other departments, they are revised regularly with the participation of Sales, Production and Planning and they provide input for production planning, inventory management, logistics etc.
Is aware of the media market, knows how to select and manage the relationship in order to better promote his brand, alone or in coordination with advertising agencies.
Selects and manages the relationship with advertising and research agencies, POP material manufacturers etc., provides briefs, supervises the material and the procedures to ensure quality results.
REPORTING
a) Marketing plans at the end of year and marketing plans revision quarterly
b) Volume updates by SKU or product category monthly or weekly in peak periods
c) Budget allocation reports
d) Standardized reporting to mother company
e) Brand plan outline reports and presentations to the sales dept.
f) New product presentations and support material to the sales dept.
g) Tailor-made material for specific needs of key customers
