ORACLE DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR

o Responsible for the installation, configuration and operation of: Oracle database servers, Oracle Application Servers, Oracle Real Application Clusters 9i, 10g & Oracle Application Servers 9i, 10g.
o Implements security plans for each database server;
o Develops, tests and implements database backup and recovery strategies;
o In high-availability configurations, the DBA also configures and manages fail over clustering, linked servers, log shipping (stand by servers) and replication;
o Develops and implements the monitoring strategy for databases.
o Performs software installation, upgrades and installs application and database patches;
o Monitors database resources regularly and performs ongoing systems and database's problems troubleshooting, back-up and recovery;
o Assists in database maintenance in areas such as access methods and times, validation checks, protection and security, documentation guidelines, statistical methods and database dictionaries;
o Develops, documents, and implements operational support procedures for the Oracle infrastructure components
