Software Engineer for Packet Telephony Applications

The ideal candidate should have:
• University degree, preferable in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Automation, Electronics;
• Experience in C/C++ development preferable on multiple platforms (Windows, Linux/Unix) and Assembly language – min 3 yrs;
• Experience in embedded systems software for DSPs, microcontrollers, etc.;
• Experience in Real-time applications & Real Time operating systems;
• Knowledge of software configuration management and software process;
• Knowledge of other programming languages (e.g. Matlab, Perl);
• Knowledge of operating systems fundamentals, device drivers, multiprocess/multithreaded applications;
• Knowledge of state-of-the-art methods and approaches in application development and testing;
• Spoken and written English – very good
• Availability for short business trips in Europe or US

The candidates must have relevant experience in some of the following areas of expertise:
• Internet Protocol stack (IP, UDP, TCP, RTP, RTCP);
• Voice over IP (VoIP) application development (H.323, SIP, fax over IP, modem over IP);
• Fax/modem components (modulation, demodulation, data compression, error correction);
• Application-specific compression (voice, audio, video);
• PSTN signaling protocols
