Commodity Buyer

- University Degree or relevant experience in the field – Economics preferred;
- 1-3 years experience in a data analysis function;
- Computer literate – MS Office (Excel- advanced);
- Supply Chain knowledge and experience is an advantage;
- English- advanced level (read, write, speak);
- Business and process orientation;
- Attention to details, self-motivated, able to work on own initiative;
- Dynamic, well organized, able to achieve results in a challenging environment;
- Very flexible personality and very good communication skills.

Represents a plus:
- Working knowledge of an ERP system;
- Experience in purchasing/ materials;
- French/German - medium level.

- Responsible to source and set up parts in the ERP system during the early stage of the product;
- Request quotations from the suppliers and set up the parts in the Baan system;
- Responsible to improve and optimize Prices and Terms & Conditions for all the existing and NPI products on one account;
- Ensure continuity of supply and anticipate potential material constraint during NPI introduction;
- Deploy and implement global sourcing strategies and share of business for the suppliers, from MDSS (global tools) into Baan;
- Manage Sourcing data in the system for Contract, Pos, Approved Supplier List (ASL), and Business Partners;
- Check all new prices & Ts&Cs with Suppliers before implementing into Baan;
- Resolve any issues related to inaccurate procurement parameters;
- Provide a consistent support to the procurement team;
- Responsible for quality of data in the system;
- Responsible for all invoice discrepancies related to all price variances.
