Senior Support Engineer

We are looking for the very best people to join our team to develop the next generation of the company's core database tools. You'll work with some of the best software talent in the business on a fast-paced Agile team, doing "green field" development in the hottest new technologies for projects with a great deal of visibility. Our office is located in Iasi's downtown core, and you'll work in an Agile project room filled with sharp coworkers.

We are going to be developing high-performance, mission-critical enterprise software that needs to be rock solid and very, very scalable, and we expect you to either come to us with a track record of successfully developing such systems, or prove to us that you're sharp enough to get up to speed on the problems involved very quickly. We're very picky about who we hire, and unapologetic about that fact, and we care a lot more about your problem solving skills and ability to write well-tested, well-designed, efficient code than we do about how many years of experience you have with which specific technologies.

Responsibilities:
• Monitor and respond or assign Help Desk requests.
• Desktop and server hardware and software installation setup; creating disk images using Symantec Ghost.
• Troubleshoot and assist users in their daily work.
• Monitor and perform daily backup and cycling of tapes.
• Recover Active Directory and servers in any kind of failure or disaster.
• Assist other MIS personnel in IT organization with projects and day to day tasks.
• Assist users in their daily work, including troubleshooting application issues and hardware setup.
• Responsible for system repairs and upgrades.
• Keep track of hardware and software inventory.
• Maintain hardware inventory.
• Need to work in a 24x7 support environment and will be required to be ON-CALL in a rotation policy (once a month).


Experience in the following areas:
• Windows 2000 or 2003 Server
• Windows XP, windows Vista
• MS Office 2000 or 2003 or 2007
• Dell desktop and notebook hardware experience
• Dell Servers/ HP Servers/ Compaq Servers experience is must
• Some level of expertise with LAN administration
• RAID and San Support
The following experience is a plus:
• Security management, including Group Policy Objects
• Administrative scripting
• Exchange 2000 or 2003 Server
• Citrix and Linux/Unix
• Veritas Backup Exec
• Trend Micro Office scan AV experience
