Database and Configuration Analyst (with GERMAN)

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

• Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree
• 2 years of experience with working and configuration on Linux-based and Unix-based OS.
• Specific skills: SQL, Shell, Ant
• Working experience with Oracle Databases (execution plans, indexes, triggers and internal DB-organization)
• Exposure to software lifecycle tools: Bugzilla, Subversion
• Acquainted to large scale Java-based applications and Java-builds
• Because this position requires daily interaction with the teams in Germany and India, very good English and German skills are essential.

DESIRED SKILLS

• Use of an incident/change management system
• PERL, XML, Log4J, Maven and Hudson build-tool
• Exposure to ITIL-processes
• Knowledge of Oracle 10g database or comparable database Server
• Knowledge of IBM WebSphere Application Server 6.1.0.25 or comparable Application Server

• You are performing an integration role in the build- and config-team for a Java web-based application currently under development for Deutsche Telekom
• Execution of database scripts, updates, database performance analysis Software Deployment on various machines taking into account release dependencies
• Configuration of updates and creation/extension of ANT scripts
