Administrator, IT System

• University graduate (Computer Science or equivalent)
• 1 to 2 years of experience in IT UNIX Administration
• Good level of English language

Role:

Ensures high quality and cost effective operation and maintenance of telecom IT and network Unix managed systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administrates the UNIX servers, workstations and the Storage Area Network for all telecom IT and network production, BCP, test and development platforms by:
o Performing hardware installations, includind wiring and dataroom instalation requirements definition and implementation control;
o Performing OS software installations, UNIX system security administration and monitoring, system performance monitoring and improvement;
o Performing HW and OS system configuration management;
o Performing problem management (faults diagnosis, solution definition and implementation, status reporting);
o Defining disaster recovery procedures at HW and OS level;
o Participating on new projects for HW and OS requirements definition, design and implementation, ensuring that the new systems comply with our operational requirements;
o Ensuring system recoverability through regular backups;
o Performing preventative maintenance activities and proposing end-of-life equipments replacement;
o Designing and implementing the system upgrades, at HW and OS level;
o Administrating infrastructure licenses portfolio;
o Providing the technical requirements for new ecquipment acquizition and analyzing the vendors quotations from technical point of view.
