Production Programmer

The main focus of the role is the technical delivery of client data management projects. Using expert data manipulation skills and data processing tools in order to ensure that Information Arts supply the best service possible to our clients.

This is a tec role that requires practical hands on experience plus the abilty to build relationships and develop the accounts.

It is essential to have strong communication skills. You must be able to interprept techincal language to the rest of the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

Client Work: The Production Programmer’s role is a hands on technical delivery role. The PP works with the business development, production and account management teams to ensure that client solutions are accurately delivered.
The PP is responsible for the delivery of projects ranging from name and address cleansing through to complex, online marketing database builds. The PP will be expected to work on multiple concurrent projects and will be responsible for the quality and accuracy of the work produced. Methodical documentation is essential.


General. The PP must work with all members of the business and be prepared to undertake a range of support tasks as required.


Person Specification

Candidates need to demonstrate the following:-

• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• A minimum of 2 years Microsoft SQL server experience – stored procedure, trigger and data transformation services.
• a basic familiarity with Access, Excel, Outlook, .txt readers
• Good understanding of UNIX scripting and commands.
• Efficient in using vi editor to update control files etc.
• Understand basic security features in UNIX.
• Good time management skills.
• Managing clients data sets.
• Good knowledge of using ftp/sftp tools.
• Ability to use decryption tools .
• Ability to be proactive and highlight issues to key stake holders.

• Practical achievement in the following skill areas:
o CRM and its practical application
o Design, development, implementation & management of marketing databases
o Data quality management
• Strong communication and methodical approach.
• Experience of developing International business Data solutions
• Design, development, implementation & management of RDBMS
• Raw data formats and data manipulation
