We are recruiting a Trade Marketing Manager, based out of Romania, for our Greater Europe Distributor business. This job allows you to work with leading chocolate brands like LINDOR & Excellence.

The purpose of this role is to work with our distributors to translate the Regional Marketing Strategy into local Channel / Customer plans. You will be responsible for marketing leadership of 12 countries.

You will report to the Marketing Manager Greater Europe and your key touchpoints are the internal Lindt & Sprüngli team, local distributors, local retailers and local agencies.

Key Responsibilities

Scope of 12 countries: Romania, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Belgium, Luxembourg, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Armenia, Georgia, Iceland

Centre of expertise for the local Chocolate Category & Retail Landscape
▪ Front-load the Greater Europe plans with critical channel and retailer inputs. ▪ Deep understanding of our local Retailers to find new ways to strengthen our presence in their stores. Understand retailer activation guidelines / requirements and how to drive secondary siting.
▪ Analyze market dynamics, trends and track competitor’s activity (e.g. NPD, promos, in-store initiatives and retailer leaflets). Based on these insights form recommendations to the Central Marketing Team and Distributors.
▪ Analyze key Retailers customer data – translating the insights into meaningful growth initiatives.
▪ Define & track local KPI’s: Market Share, ROS, WD, Penetration, Secondary Placements

Translate our Regional Strategy into Channel / Customer Plans
▪ Plays a key role within the Greater Europe to ensure our initiatives have a strong retailer value proposition behind.
▪ Develop meaningful selling stories to support launches / growth initiatives.
▪ Work in very close collaboration with our Distributors to create actionable Channel / Customer Growth Initiatives.

Transform our In-Store & Promotional presence
▪ Develop promotional guidelines and strategies, define key success factors for maximum promotional ROI across all promotions and mechanics.
▪ Partner with our Marketing Manager and Central Category Management to drive effective space management (key merchandising principles, planograms, …).
▪ Leadership of the field merchandising strategy with tracking of performance and ROI metrics.

Local adaptation of marketing materials
▪ Localization and creation of marketing materials & content, particularly producing effective point of sale materials to drive brand awareness and conversion.

Motivating internal & external stakeholders
▪ Plays a key role in engaging stakeholders behind our vision, priorities and plans.
▪ Ensure best practice sharing and deployment of initiatives across channels and Greater Europe countries.

Your Profile:
• Education: Bachelor or Master Degree in Marketing or Business Administration
Professional Background: A minimum of 5 years of marketing experience ideally in a FMCG / Retail environment (experience in trade marketing, shopper marketing, brand management, product management or category management)
• Personality: Curious, determined, entrepreneurial spirit, creative, ambitious, ability to work under pressure, capability to solve conflicts, strong communication and presentation skills.
• Standing alone: A self-reliant and proactive work mode, is comfortable working alone on a tough assignment.
• Drive for results: Hunger to deliver consistent results through motivating self and others.
• Collaboration: Team player and interested in interdisciplinary work (Sales, Finance, Supply). Strong leadership skills to foster collaboration at all levels through a dynamic, enthusiastic and positive attitude.
• Strategic agility: Can anticipate future consequences and trends accurately, is future oriented, can create competitive and breakthrough strategies and plans.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to interpret and understand business and market dynamics. Nielsen experience is a plus.
• Language Skills: Fluency in Romanian and English (both speaking and writing), other languages are a plus.
• Other Requirements: Willingness to travel required (up to 20%), advanced Microsoft Office Skills (PPT, Word, Excel)
