System Administrator

We are looking for a System Administrator with in-depth knowledge in Linux operating system to maintain, upgrade and manage our software, hardware and networks. Your goal will be to ensure that our telecom technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently.
Qualifications
• Proven experience of 2-4 years as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
• Good knowledge of Bash, Python
• Experience with databases - MySQL, networks (LAN, WAN)
• System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields are a plus
• Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
• Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
• Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
• Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities
• Install and configure software and hardware
• Manage network servers and technology tools
• Set up accounts and workstations
• Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
• Designing and implementing Microsoft Active Directory infrastructure for the company
• Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
• Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
• Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes
• Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
• Perform regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
