  • Supervising the restaurant to ensure that all the standards and steps of service are met through all guests interactions
  • Ensuring that checklists, requisitions and proper opening and closing functions are being completed each shift
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to provide clear direction to the staff
  • Observe performance and encourage improvement where necessary
  • Communicating with guests and employees using a positive and clear speaking voice, listen to and understand requests, respond with appropriate actions and provide accurate information
  • Ensuring that all steps of services as outlines in training materials are being followed on a daily basis
  • Interacting positively with guests promoting hotel facilities and services
  • Resolve problems to the satisfaction of involved parties
  • Answer telephones in a clear voice, coordinate and document reservations
  • Interacts with all departments and attend relevant meetings/trainings
  • Moving throughout the kitchen and restaurant areas to visually monitor and take action to ensure food quality and service standards are met
  • Ensuring that all standards and restaurant cash handling procedures are met
  • Assisting the Restaurant Manager in providing all relevant information to the waiting staff (regarding financial results of the restaurant, incentives, salaries and all other relevant information)
  • Making the weekly roster in accordance with the hotel forecast
  • Making supply orders and beverage spot checks and follow ups
  • Making the monthly inventory
  • Good knowledge of the menus and of the glassware/silverware in order to be able to supplement whenever necessary
  • Good knowledge of the hotel facilities and procedures
  • Follow up of the Trip Advisor ranking, and make sure the staff is pushing for reviews
