Responsibilities:

• Preparing the annual risk-based Audit Plan;

• Manage and participate in audit assignments to evaluate the effectiveness of the controls in line with the annual audit; plan and in accordance with professional standards and guidelines;

• Identify best practice and ensure consistent standards across the business;

• Develop test methodology and implement regular testing across all areas of the business to identify risk areas and monitor compliance with existing controls;

• Develop strong partnerships with senior business stakeholders to enhance risk management and achievement of the business area’s objectives;

• Conduct follow up audits to monitor issues previously identified;

• Identify best practice and ensure consistent standards across the business.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a similar internal audit role and dealing with the responsibilities outlined above

• Assertive, self-starter who works effectively and efficiently whilst demonstrating resilience and responsiveness to issues in a rapidly changing environment

• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to persuade and adapt to the audience, as well as being able to present and communicate complex information in a simple and compelling way,

• Highly organized, efficient and self-motivated with the ability to drive a project from conception through to completion,

• Understanding and experience of working with sensitive and confidential information.
