The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong familiarity with emergency protocols, such as lockdowns, evacuations, and fire drills, possess excellent verbal communication skills, including conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques, and accurately document incidents and daily activities. Punctuality, reliability, and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff , and parents while maintaining a respectful and approachable demeanor are essential for enforcing rules and policies eff ectively.
QUALIFICATIONS
● Certified Security Guard with a clean criminal record.
● Minimum of 5 years of experience in security services, preferably in a security-related environment.
● High school diploma or equivalent.
● Fluency in both written and spoken English and Romanian.
● Proven ability to work eff ectively in a diverse, multicultural team environment.
● Strong conflict-resolution and communication skills, with the ability to remain calm and handle stressful situations.
● Knowledge of Access Control, CCTV, and other security systems (preferred).
● Ability to maintain confidentiality.
● For non-Romanian applicants, valid residency permit allowing long-term legal stay in Romania.

The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for students, staff , and visitors at the school. The Security Guard monitors activity on campus, enforces rules and policies, and takes necessary actions to prevent or address disturbances, emergencies or unauthorized access.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
● Monitor school grounds, hallways, parking lots and entrances to prevent unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
● ID checks and visitor sign-ins.
● Assist in maintaining order during school events such as assemblies, sports activities and others.
● Work in conjunction with the Facilities functions to execute emergency protocols, including fire drills, lockdowns, or evacuations.
● Ensure that students, staff , and visitors comply with school policies, including behavior guidelines.
● Operate and monitor security cameras, fire detection and intruder detection systems, and other equipment report any malfunctions.
● Mediate and report conflicts to prevent escalation ensuring that they are handled calmly.
● Assist in addressing the disruptive behaviors.
● Guide staff , students, or visitors with directions, information, or assistance as needed within its area of competence
● Escort individuals who are not authorized to be on the school grounds.
● Check for safety hazards and ensure that all security protocols are followed.
● Report any incidents or other security breaches.
● In touch with law enforcement, fire department, or medical personnel in case of emergencies.
● Collaborate with school off icials and law enforcement on investigations when necessary.

AISB was founded in 1962 and is currently Bucharest's largest international school.
