This role will lead the centralized SAP Master Data Administration team, which is responsible for the oversight of customer and vendor master data across our global companies within SAP.

It will help to ensure global policies and procedures are followed, lead standardization of the setup process to ensure the quality of customer and vendor master data, and support the business segments as it relates to customer and vendor master data management.

In this position, you will get to:
  • Manage customer and vendor master data for all SAP entities across NAM, EMEAI, and APAC (50+ legal entities)
  • Lead standardization and process improvements in the customer and vendor data maintenance process that focuses on cross-functional improvements and process automation
  • Ensure compliance with Third-Party Compliance financial controls for all entities managed, including performing required data reconciliations and retaining audit support documentation
  • Work with other functional teams on new system implementations for which customer and vendor data is critical to ensure data is properly integrated (i.e. sales platforms, AR/AP platforms, etc.).
  • Research, analyze and help resolve complex data requests.
  • Provide ad hoc reports and help create standard reports for Segment Finance, Supply, Controlling, and Legal teams, as needed for ongoing business and compliance activities
  • Lead in the collection and submission of data as part of any internal or external audit requests.
  • Work together with nVent Compliance to improve processes surrounding compliance requirements embedded in master data information.
  • Adhere to all nVent internal controls, policies, and procedures as part of the vendor and customer setup process.

You have:
  • College degree required;
  • Previous experience minim 6 years of experience working with customers, products, sales orders/invoicing, and purchasing is preferred (work in Master Data Administration, Customer Services, Purchasing/Planning, or Finance is relevant);
  • ERP experience required, SAP experience highly preferred
  • Experience in a publicly-traded company preferred;
  • Experience in managing a team, people coordinating;
  • Track record of success in process improvements and creating efficiencies that add value to your organization.
  • SAP knowledge of customer and vendor modules is highly preferred
  • Intermediate or advanced knowledge of MS Excel and Windows-based software (Powerpoint, Word, etc.).
