Quality Specialist

The position requires an individual with basic knowledge in food processing, quality assurance principals and food regulations;
Knowledge of Global Food Safety Initiatives (GFSI) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP);
Must understand and be able to implement principles of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP);
Training skills;
Advanced MS Office skills;
Romanian and English skills (written and spoken);
Communicative, ability to work under pressure;

Involved in development, implementation and maintaining food safety/quality management system;
Maintaining HACCP (Hazard analysis and critical control points) for all the processes and products;
Implement certified standard (FSSC) and Unilever quality and product safety requirements related with company activities and observing that it is being adhered to;
Develop, monitor and update of quality documents, procedures, work instructions, forms, raw material specifications, packaging, in-process products and finished products;
Collect product samples and SWABS for lab analysis as per internal sampling plan;
Perform/takes part in food safety audits/inspections to assure the compliance with legal & regulatory requirements, certified standard (currently FSCC) and Unilever requirements;
Ensures complaints and non-conformities management and related activities such: investigation, correction and corrective actions proposal and verifying the effectiveness of the actions established;
Maintain a good relation with consumer, in case of consumer complaints (directly involved to respond to consumers in case of complaints) and with authorities (by participating with QM in all authorities inspections);
Support the procurement / purchase activities concerning quality requirements (eg.: raw materials, packing materials, food grade chemicals, etc);
Involved in NPD on quality and food safety aspects;
Perform trainings regarding food safety (GMP, HACCP, etc);
Participate in suppliers’ audits (eg: raw materials, warehousing, packing materials, etc);
Keep current on knowledge of all food safety regulations and laws (European and Romanian level);
Keep updated the customers’ requirements for food safety and observe that it is being adhered to;
Complete data inquiries, data reports, and analysis as needed;
Assist the Quality Assurance Manager in all issues related with food safety;
