Reports to Managing Director. In general terms the PR Consultant should recognize that they have reached the stage where they now have permission not only to do a lot more but also to do things differently.
Specifically the PR Consultant must:
1. Recognize that they are the ultimate position in execution and administration.
2. They must build a clear understanding of the consumer and business dynamics of the
brand/market in which they are operating; this will involve a knowledge of the basics of
3. They must demonstrate the ability to plan on their accounts, to anticipate needs in advance of them appearing.
4. They must show active contribution to the development of an excellent creative product/service required by the client; they will be assessed on their ability to generate results, not on the amount of “effort”.
5. They are responsible for remedying any problems in workflow, and supervising effective budget control, client billing etc.
6. They are expected to show qualities of initiative on their business.
7. They must contribute to establish the preconditions for successful salesmanship of work and ideas, and develop actual salesmanship skills.
8. They must show that they possess a commitment to teamwork, organizational and good team working skills.
9. They must build significant and fruitful relationships with their opposite numbers at the client end.
