• Over 6+ years of experience of which a minimum 3 + years in managing frontline managers and people and interacting with customer/stake holders
• Ability to deconstruct processes and metrics, to identify areas of opportunity and lead the development and implementation of new processes
• Project Management experience -experience defining projects, collecting requirements, designing process solutions, coordinating efforts to scope, schedule, and deploy solutions and communicating results throughout the organization
• Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills and ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases
• Excellent oral, written, interpersonal communication skills and a high bar for accuracy and detail.
• Ability to clearly communicate data insights to others
• Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary to get things done; owner mentality
• To receive security clearance all candidates must undergo a background check


Preferred qualifications
• Strong influencing skills and negotiation skills
• Exceptional judgment and decision-making abilities
• Solution oriented, analytical approach to problem
• Intermediate knowledge of SQL, Tableau or other analytics frameworks.
• Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or Prince
• Demonstrated experience in having driven tech based solutions to solve complex large scale operations problems

About Retail Business Services (RBS)

The Retail Business Systems (RBS) group is an integral part of Amazon online product lifecycle and buying operations. The team is designed to ensure Amazon remains competitive in the online retail space with the best catalog quality, wide selection, supply chain defects and compliance programs. The team’s primary role is to create and enhance retail selection on the worldwide Amazon online catalog. The tasks handled have a direct impact on customer buying decisions and online user experience.

This role will involve driving enrichment programs that deliver value by helping accelerate selection flywheel. Operations Managers are required to work across the organization, think strategically and make data driven decisions to find solutions to complex problems. The role will require driving efforts, both independently and as part of larger project teams and have a significant impact.


Successful candidates will be strong leaders who can prioritize well, communicate clearly, and have a consistent track record of delivery. This is a highly visible role that requires partnering with Retail and Tech teams. This role requires experience and capability to create and present documentation for senior executives and align your roadmap with team’s strategic objectives. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. Candidate should be experienced in working with data to analyze root causes, implementing long term solutions, and leading teams with advanced analytical, mathematical, and quantitative capabilities.


Roles and Responsibility:
You will be responsible to manage a team of Catalog Managers (2 to 3), Subject Matter Experts (2 to 3) and a small team of Operations resources and expand the program across different product lines and marketplaces.
• Work closely with internal product and project teams to design scalable and auto-resolution solution.
• Stakeholder Management (Category and Tech teams) - Conduct weekly performance meetings with stakeholders to develop and ensure adherence to action plans that meet business objectives and to facilitate monthly round tables for owner feedback
• Participate and provide adequate support in business reviews with mid-level and senior stakeholders
• People Management (leadership role, Category Lead, team management, floor control and retention)
• Metrics Management, Analyzing Trend.
• Formulate, Implement, Track career path & Individual Development Plans of each member in the Team

Key Performance Areas:
Manage Operations: Own business goal(s) & define metrics aligned to goal(s); Establish process for tracking metrics; Drive projects; Proactively identify risks/gaps and define mitigation plans Planning and Forecasting : Foresee capacity issues to prevent escalations with little support/intervention from manager Quality and Process Excellence : Deep dive & identify root cause of defects/issues; define SOPs/process changes that impact quality and drive to closure Building solutions - Automation based process improvement solution adopted across teams; Work with program / tech based process to define requirements.
