BROAD TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in a production environment as an IT Infrastructure Engineer;
• At least 3 years working in global team supporting global network;
• Sound technical background spanning network, application delivery and security technologies;
• Experience of working on large scale projects.

CORE SKILLS

• Good knowledge and Experience with Microsoft operating systems, Active Directory & Domain Architecture, Group Policy, DNS, OS security, and systems patching;
• Very good knowledge and Experience with various virtualization technologies, especially VMware;
• Support, maintain and improve local and wide area networks, routing protocols, MPLS, site to site VPN and Internet;
• Experience with UTM’s (SOPHOS, OPNsense);
• Support complex and distributed Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks, dynamic routing protocols, QoS;
• Monitoring and analysing traffic across large scale distributed networks (using PRTG, SCOM, sniffers etc.);
• Global and Local Load balancing solutions for High Availability, Disaster Recovery & business continuity;
• Maintaining & supporting Security Systems and solutions including anti-virus, Next Generation Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Web Application Firewalls, patch management, infrastructure hardening;
• AAA (Authentication, Authorization, Accounting), RADIUS, SSH, Proxy, vulnerability scanning/penetration testing etc. are desirable but not required;
• General IT-Helpdesk/end-user support (mainly Windows-based systems);
• Cross-training of team members and end-users;
• Ensure application of corporate IT security policies.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• The Global IT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day operation of ECKERLE’s network and security infrastructure. This role is a global role to support the business as well as developing and improving globally the IT infrastructure and security landscape;
• Participate in the delivery of highly available, scalable and supportable solutions and driving technology advancements, as well troubleshooting, problem resolution and root cause analysis. You will also contribute towards the implementation of a broad range of infrastructure projects, working closely with colleagues in all regions;
• You must be able to demonstrate flexibility and take responsibility for the delivery of service excellence. In addition to displaying technical expertise, it is essential that you have a disciplined and pro-active approach with strong interpersonal & communication skills.
