General Manager / Head of Human Resources - Europe (f/m)

We are looking for a General Manager - Head of Human Resources - Europe (f/m) to join our team in Hameln, Germany.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • Fluency in German and near-native fluency in English
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years Human Resources experience
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working within a multi-national company
  • Team player is a must
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Excellent communication skills in professional, business environment (verbal, written, presentation)
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Advanced proficiency in PC applications; including, Microsoft Office 365
  • Ability to interact with all levels of employees; including senior management
  • Ability to obtain, present, and discuss information and recommendations in a controversial environment
  • Comfortable in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment with competing and shifting priorities
  • Proven ability to use discretion in dealing with confidential information
  • Excellent project management skills

The principle responsibilities and duties of this position are:

  • Manage European staffing through full-cycle recruiting efforts. Ensure effective on-boarding of new employees and conduct orientations.
  • Work with European management team to coach and performance manage employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counseling employees and supervisors. Serve as a resource to employees who have problems affecting their performance or employment, offering advice, counsel, and outside Resources as appropriate.
  • Ensure legal compliance with all European countries by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource legal requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing the organization at hearings. Develop strong relationships with European solicitors to manage employee relations as required.
  • Travel to European offices to develop and maintain a strong partnership with the management and office teams. Assess their needs and provide developmental and leadership assistance.
