A good data scientist has:

Technical Skills
 knowledge of programming language and software environment for statistical analysis(SAS,
Python,R)
 knowledge of predictive modeling and machine learning (regressions, decisions trees, cluster
analysis, neural networks)
 expertise in data preparation and data mining, SQL knowledge and relational databases
 knowledge of English, both writing and speaking

Soft Skills
 creative and innovative
 analytical
 open to learn and apply the technology
 able to present the results of the analysis/modeling
 persuasive
 a team player

Descrierea jobului

Successful data scientist candidate should graduated university and should have professional experience analyzing data and developing models across a few of technology platforms. Because our team collaborates closely with other internal teams from the bank, a great person for this role will be driven by the desire to solve problems from business extracting meaning from and interpret data, which requires both tools and methods from statistics and machine learning.
The data scientist spends a lot of time in the process of collecting, cleaning and munging data, because data is never clean. This process requires persistence, statistics and software skills, that are necessary for understanding biases in the data and programming and debugging from code.
Once the data scientist gets the data into shape, a crucial part is exploratory data analysis, which combines visualization and data sense, next will find patterns, build models, and algorithms—some with the intention of understanding customers needs, product usage and the overall health of the product and others to serve as prototypes that ultimately get baked back into the product.
The data scientist may design experiments being a critical part of data-driven decision making and will communicate with team members, business people in clear language, with data visualizations and so they will understand the implications.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor portfolio performance and customer segments based on specific indicators
• Perform portfolio analysis according to the business requirements
• Integrate portfolio analysis with market studies for a better understanding of customer
• Develop and implement statistical models used for customer segmentation and working with large data set
• Review and validate existing models
• Identifying inputs for robust model development
• Develop and implement predictive models in order to optimize direct marketing programs
• Support the development of CRM infrastructure
• Create data marts, populate, maintain, clean SAS data structures
