Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
Certified Expert Accountant (CECCAR) qualification is a significant advantage
Other internationally recognized certifications (ACCA, CPA) are also appreciated
Minimum 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership role
Strong knowledge of IFRS and local accounting regulations (e.g., Romanian GAAP)
Experience in a manufacturing or project-based industry (e.g., shipbuilding, automotive, construction)
Involvement in SAP, or other ERP implementations – ideally as Key User or Process Owner
Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Lead general ledger, payroll, and tax accounting activities across multiple entities
Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings
Supervise AP and AR teams for invoice processing, payments, and reconciliations
Ensure compliance with local GAAP, IFRS, VAT, and corporate tax regulations
Coordinate and support internal and external audits
Oversee accounting for gross/net salaries, employer contributions, and payroll taxes
Collaborate with HR and external providers to ensure data accuracy and timely postings
Maintain internal controls and enforce accounting policies and audit standards
Drive continuous process improvement and standardization initiatives
Monitor KPIs and SLAs related to accounting operations
Act as key user for SAP FI during ERP implementation, including process testing and data migration
Support adoption of standardized workflows and reporting post go-live
Manage and develop a team of ~10 accountants, including task allocation and performance reviews
Foster cross-functional collaboration with Controlling, HR, Procurement, and Operations
