Asociatia Animal Rescue Aiderbichl

Gut Aiderbichl is an international animal welfare organization, which is currently active in six countries across Europe. Our organization has been founded in 2001 an has become the biggest association of sanctuaries in Europe since.

At our sanctuaries we currently take care of more than 6.000 rescued animals. Our mission is to help individual animals in need, as well as to help changing the overall culture in regards to animals.

The organizations credo underlines our motivation perfectly:

'Even if we could protect animals from us humans, we would have achieved nothing. We will only have achieved something when we no longer have to protect animals from us humans. Then we will have changed something: "Us!'

In 2018 Gut Aiderbichl started to operate in Romania.

Since then we have established our own shelter in the Region of Ploiesti where we take care of about 175 dogs and 20 cats in average. We are glad that we already have found permanent homes for 448 dogs out of the 653 dogs which we have rescued since 2018.

Our biggest goal for the near future is to complete our new: `Gut Aiderbichl Shelter Romania`, which will be one of the finest shelters for dogs and cats in Europe.

We are happy to use our good collaborations with Veterinarian Universities from around Europe to build a shelter which will put the animals needs first.

We hope to welcome many visitors to the `Gut Aiderbichl Shelter Romania` to promote the wellbeing of animals as we do in our other sanctuaries as well.
