What is Kreditech?

Kreditech makes faster, better, and more sustainable loan decisions.

Kreditech has developed a new technology which allows the company to score loan applications online within seconds on a fully automatized basis by taking into account up to 8.000 data points. In comparison, a bank uses around 50 data points for credit scoring and takes several hours or even days. We use this technology to provide micro credits for up to 30 days, which many people use to make ends meet until the next paycheck, or to pay for a night on the town or a shopping trip. We guarantee a payout within 15 minutes after application for our B2C services. In the future, we will also offer “Scoring as a Service”, targeting the B2B market. Thus, we can offer micro credits online, via SMS, and over Facebook in five countries (Kredito24.pl, Kredito24.es, Kredito24.cz, Kredito24.mx and Zaimo.ru). Our old office, the Castle by the Alster, was the place where the company got its real start. In June of 2013 we moved to a brand new office in the heart of Hafencity in Hamburg. Here, the team has been able to expand and enjoy working in one of the most beautiful parts of the city.

Kreditech is an international technology-based company that takes a fundamentally new approach to identifying and scoring users online. Based on a complex, fully automated, statistical algorithm, up to 8.000 data points per application are processed within seconds for a credit decision. This innovative technology takes into account all information that can be found in any accessible database, including social media, e-commerce shopping behavior, location, mobile phone usage, etc. Unfortunately, we can't go into deeper detail, as the underlying data sources and statistical classifiers are as closely guarded as the recipe for Coca-Cola! 

                                                    Who are we?

Kreditech is a company with headquarters in Hamburg, with 65+ employees coming from 17 countries, as well as offices in Krakow, Warsaw, Barcelona and London. The company was founded in 2012 by Sebastian Diemer (London School of Economics, Roland Berger, Rocket Internet) and Alexander Graubner Müller (Uni St. Gallen, LG Capital, UBS Asset Management, Rocket Internet) with a 7-figure investment by leading European Business Angels (Stefan Glaenzer, Michael Brehm, Heiko Hubertz, Felix Haas, etc.) and early-stage funds (Point9 Capital, Digital Pioneers, H2). Later, the company secured financing from several other investors including Kreos Capital, who invested five million euros in September 2013.
