Prepared to travel to other countries, inc Japan. Able to sustain extended periods away during training

Ensures adherence to customer technical requirements, Yazaki drawings and mandatory standards that apply.
Study the part requirements, equipment capability, market constraints in order to select the most suitable moulding requirement, taking account of cost, quality, material and environment.
Prepare the tool specification taking into account previous lessons learnt, quality inputs and machine requirements. Establish the criteria for acceptance of the finished tool.
Locate and develop suitable toolmaking companies that are equipped to satisfy Yazaki needs. Use benchmarking, auditing and other methods to determine the SWOT capability.
Work in conjunction with the project team to review project requirements, timing, and to select the most suitable clients. Participate with purchasing to make the final selection and contract.
To agree the program with toolmaker and to support the implementation. Tool design review will be scheduled prior to metal cutting.
Manage the program, resolve all issues that arise and deliver the tool according to the master schedule, after satisfactorily completing the acceptance trial process.
Support the process engineer with the PSW trial and validation, ensuring that the tool is able to perform to all requirement.
Work in conjunction with process/production team to improve tool problems on existing tools. Assist with spare part listing and support the tool maintenance function to improve performance.
Actively involved in RFQ for new potential businesses.
