| CANDIDATUL IDEAL:
Essential
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering (or appropriate postgraduate qualification)
Capable of working without supervision to required deadlines

Strong analytical and diagnostic skills, particularly with regard to technical risks, issues and constraints
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Demonstrable knowledge of common enterprise design patterns and implementation.
Understanding of the entire software design, development and deployment lifecycle

Comfortable in both Windows and Unix (Linux)
Able to work in a rapid development environment with flexible requirements
Able to use source code as primary documentation resource
In depth knowledge of at least one programming language
Able to gain a broad understanding of other, relevant technical areas
Able to gain an in depth understanding of system architecture
Broad commercial awareness

Understanding of UML
Experience with REST, Web Services(SOAP), Spring

Review product specifications in order to give development estimates and product feedback

Day to Day Responsibilities:
Lead, inspire and motivate a team of software development engineers
Manage the review of product requirements within your team and provide feedback to product owners and other change originators
Working with developers and technical architects, manage the production of technical approach documentation and preparation of software development estimates
Working with project managers, define and manage development schedules
Forecast remaining workload to complete tasks
Allocate and prioritise development tasks throughout all phases of the project lifecycle
Hands on development, as required
Day to day reporting on progress of all development deliverables
Ensure that the team develop and test software in line with business objectives and to departmental standards
Ensure that all development milestones are met on time and to the required level of quality
Ensure that the team produce release notes to the quality required by the integration and release teams
Manage the support activities of the development team during releases and in the post release period
Provide technical support to the business analyst and quality assurance teams
Work with managers, product owners and other stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet commercial and technical goals
Maximize employee retention through motivation and strong management
Help build the Engineering culture of accountability and results orientation
Meet ambitious timelines while balancing business risks and tradeoffs
Drive the team to improve processes in all areas
Identify and address project constraints
