DRH South Zealand offers 3 programs:

1.Fighting with The Poor/ Single B Certificate/ 24 months
Starts Februarie and May 2012(saving up period for May 2012 Team starts on 1st of January)

The 1st Year: Going Global

Period 1: World Studies

* 6 MONTHS Studying and investigating defining issues of humanity and our globe: International relations, the conditions of poor and rich, North abd South, the world's resources, globalization, world economy, debt, global institutions, media, Global Warming and Climate Change, food production - and We, the People.

Period 2: Getting it ready

* 3MONTHS Saving up money in a concentrated period. Working, living cheap and preparing for travelling and project work.

Period 3: On the Road!

* 3MONTHS Travelling to a project in Africa or India. Investigating, studying and getting experience on the way.

The 2nd Year: Fighting with The Poor

Period 4: Project Work

* 6 MONTHS Working in a Trio, making pre-schools, Garden Farms, Farms Clubs, fighting HIV/AIDS with TCE, teaching would-be teachers, working in Child Aid. Working at the project, improving it, expanding it and making actions with the people in the comunity.

Period 5: Bringing it to the public

* 6 MONTHS Gathering all what is learned and producing products for the Public Arena. Going on the road with it all. Publishing in the Digital Showroom on the OWU Website. Finalizing with exams.


2.Fighting with The Poor/ Double B Certificate/ 24 Months
Starts August 2012

The 1st year: Working, Studying and getting it ready

* 12 MONTHS Working as a teacher or assistent teacher at a school, trainig youth or adults who need special support, or as a worker at a Humana People to People clothes collection.Studying and investigating subject matter relevant to each period headline, using a range of pedagogical variables.

The 2nd year: Fighting with The Poor

* 8 MONTHS Teaching, Studying Pedagogy and Fighting with The Poor in Africa

* 2 MONTHS - The Journal - Bringing the new knowledge to the Public Arena.

* 2 MONTHS -Final Exams and The Future


3. OWU Licentiate Degree in Pedagogy
Starts September 2012 (Saving up period starts 1st of February)

The 1st year: The International Pracice Field

Period 1: Preparing yourself,group and buss for the travel - 2 Months
Perios 2: Travel by bus through the Sahara and several African countries - 4 Months
Period 3: Bringing it to the public - 3 Months
Period 4: Making and saving up money - 3 Months

The 2nd year: The National Practice Field

Period 5: Experiencing and understanding the European reality - 6 Months
Period 6: Pedagogical specializations - 3 Months
Period 7: Doing what you find most appropriate to do - 3 Months

The 3rd year: The School Practice Field

Period 8: The reality of children and teachers in the school - 8 Months
Period 9: Pedagogical specialization and final exams - 4 Months

DRH South Zealand is in cooperation with OWU Mozambique. One World University, or OWU for short, was started by Development Aid from People to People (DAPP) in Mozambique and the Federation Humana People to People (HPP) in 1998.In the following years, the school went through a process of recognition in close cooperation with the Pedagogical University of Mozambique.

In 2005, OWU was approved by the Council of Ministers in Mozambique as a private university. It was accreditated to deliver academic courses and degrees from the level of bachelor to PhD with a nationally recognized qualification, and was given its official name ISET – Instituto Superior de Educação e Tecnologia, in short ISET/OWU.

One World University currently has three faculties:

■The Pedagogical Faculty

■The Faculty Fighting with The Poor

■The Faculty of Polyhistory.

The university offers courses, either on site at its campus in Changalane or through distance learning.

A lincetiate degree from OWU corresponds to a Bachelor of Arts degree, and a B-certificate corresponds to 1000 study hours.

A group of 7 training institutions around the world (whose Teacher Councils practice similar pedagogical ideas, cooperate with each other and develop programs together) entered into an agreement of cooperation with OWU Mozambique, allowing its participants to earn a degree from OWU as distance learners while following a course at their schools.

When participating in an OWU degree course, the learner will as part of the program go through the relevant curriculum and take the required exams from OWU in Mozambique, and will be assigned a tutor who will be her/his contact person in all matters concerning her/his OWU degree.
