Manager, Transport Network Development

Requirements:
* Polytechnic University (Electronics and Telecommunications preferably)
* 2 years in managerial position within a telecom operator – IP/Transmission area
* 3-5 years in a managerial position within a telecom operator - IP and Transmission area
* Planning and design knowledge in IP and transmission networks (IP, IP VPN, VoIP, LAN/WAN, PDH, SDH, DWDM) within a telecom operator
* Budgeting skills
* Excellent communication skills
* Excellent level of English language
* Coaching skills
* Project management skills (additional certification in this field is considered a bonus)

Role:
Coordinate all activities related to IP access and Transmission (core and access) configuration management, planning and network design for 2G/3G and fixed voice/data networks, according to company forecasts, technology strategy, quality of service design parameters and business continuity plan.

Key responsibilities:
• Define transport network evolution strategy and supervise its planning rollout
• Core/access IP and transmission links (planning, network design and configuration management)
• Estimate the impact of all projects which imply the transport network
• Analyse utilisation for optimization of the core and access networks
• Provide inputs to the department management regarding budgetary requirements for the transport network in order to increase efficiency and ensure optimal capital investments
• Coordinate and follow up planning and design activities for all transport network
• Perform regular evaluation of all team’s goals and project status
• Setting the goals and performance standards for the group staff in line with the objectives of the department
• Assign engineering personnel to projects and rollout processes
• Work planning, time keeping and coordination of network deployment projects
• Select, train, coach and conduct performance reviews with staff
