Engineer, Access Transmission

Requirements:

- University degree, Electronics and Telecommunications
- 1-2 years job related experience
- SDH, PDH, basic IP design knowledge
- Convergent transmission systems knowledge is considered a plus
- Driving license
- Technical courses on transmission using Microwave and Fiber optic & data communications
- Communication skills
- Analytical thinking
- Fluency in English

Role:

Perform planning and design for access transmission network using fiber optic or microwave technologies. Analyze and propose effective solutions for 2G/3G sites and customers requests for new ports or bandwidth upgrades; evaluate access transmission network impact.
Performance management parameters of radio transmission network.

Key Responsibilities:

Main responsibilities are listed below but are not limited to:
• Design for fiber optic access links, including equipment type and configuration
• Radio design and implementation for access and aggregation MW links (PDH, SDH or packet)
• Capacity and coverage planning for Point to Multipoint (Wireless Eth and LMDS) systems
• Analyse and propose effective solutions to meet customers requests for new ports or bandwidth upgrades; evaluate network impact
• Planning and design for Management network of Microwave equipments
• Coordinate contractors and suppliers activities related with above mentioned responsibilities
• Provide solutions for complains related to MW links (interferences, degraded performance, lack of LOS)
