The United States Peace Corps in Romania seeks candidates for the position of Community Economic Development (CED) Program Manager. The CED Program Manager is develops placements and provides support for approximately 25 American volunteers serving in communities throughout Romania.
The Program Manager’s duties include identifying and developing sites for volunteer placement, participating in volunteer training, supporting volunteers in the field, and maintaining a program strategy for Community Economic Development that is consistent with the needs of Romania and the volunteers’ skills. The ideal candidate will have established relationships with governmental and nongovernmental agencies in the field of community economic development, and effective management skills for working with international volunteers.
Desired qualifications:
• University degree in business administration, non-profit management, public administration or related field;
• Fluency in oral and written English; experience writing plans and proposals in English
• Experience developing professional contacts at national and community levels; established contacts with Romanian rural agencies and small business NGOs
Experience in program management
Strong computer skills in office systems
