| CANDIDATUL IDEAL:
•Strong Problem solving ability with excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Strong working knowledge of computers and software: including Excel, Word and Visio
•Familiar with TCP/IP, networking and comfortable in high-tech environment
•Committed to personal development; willing to learn all aspects of Headend engineering
•Customer service oriented; willing to varied work shifts and perform on call duties
•Minimum 5 years experience as service or maintenance engineer/technician
•Prior Headend experience
•Computer networking experience
•Fluency in English verbal and written.
| RESPONSABILITATI / BENEFICII:
•Coordinates installments, maintenance and repair of Headend and OTN electronic systems and components
•Coordinates installments, maintenance and testing of optic fiber transports and interconnections
•Assist in the planning and implementation of new product introductions
•Interpret, maintain and install network management systems
•Interface with other departments regarding daily Video On-Demand error reporting and database management.
•Coordinate with addressable operations staff regarding digital and analog addressability activity
•Complete assigned projects and reports; assuring they are finished on time and on budget.
•Conduct testing per Headend/OTN preventative maintenance programs
•Conduct service restoration plans, maintenance and record-keeping documentation
•Insure compliance with all local, state and federal regulations: FCC, OSHA, etc
•Participate in On Call rotation to support area Headend operations
•Operate and maintain analog, digital, video, audio and data test equipment and systems
•Interface effectively with System, Region and Division engineering staff and equipment venders
•Maintain and configure network devices; hubs, switches and routers
•Prepare and maintain current Headend/OTN documentation, reports and logs
•Attend regular training and stay current regarding technical knowledge
•Monitor and provide feedback on individual performance including performance reviews
•Maintain staff levels in team by focusing on staff retention and driving recruitment when required
•Identify training needs and ensure suitable training is given
•Offer support to the team activities.
