| CANDIDATUL IDEAL:
The United States Peace Corps has a position opening for an IT Specialist within its Bucharest office.
The applicant must speak/write Romanian and English fluently. The ideal candidate will have a University degree in IT, computer science, or other related field and a minimum of 3-5 years related work experience. The candidate should posses excellent interpersonal, cross-cultural, and customer service oriented skills (previous experience in a help desk position could be an advantage). Personal integrity is critical to success.
Overall function is to design, implement, and support solutions for Management Information Systems in a Microsoft environment. |
RESPONSABILITATI / BENEFICII:
Duties will include:
- hardware and software management and administration of the network environment
- design and install computer networks
- configure & administer the telephone system (MITEL PABX)
- identify spare parts, upgrades, and consumables to achieve maximum performance from current system
- ensure confidentiality of information
- represent Peace Corps in relations with ISP and other vendors
- maintain Internet connection/e-mail system
- provide staff support in their daily operations
- provide IT trainings to staff and Volunteers
- act as Computer Security Coordinator according to MS 542
- provide overall support in terms of computers, printers, and data access for remote sites and roving users
- coordinate maintenance of PCRO website along with the Volunteer Committee
Must be able to pass an Embassy security clearance check.
Technical Requirements:
- Windows 2000/2003 certifications preferred (MCSE is a plus)
- Exchange 2003/2007 administration
- Sharepoint administration
- ISA server administration
- SQL and MS Access knowledge
A Romanian driving license will be a plus. |
