CANDIDATUL IDEAL:

The United States Peace Corps Romania (PCRo) has a position opening for a Volunteer Support Assistant (VSA) within its Bucharest office. The applicant must speak/write Romanian and English fluently. The ideal candidate will have a University degree; a minimum of 3-5 years related work experience; and a Romanian driving license. The candidate should posses excellent interpersonal, cross-cultural, and customer service oriented skills. Personal integrity is critical to success. Must be able to pass an embassy security clearance background check.


RESPONSABILITATI / BENEFICII:

Under the supervision of the Country Director (CD), the Volunteer Support Assistant (VSA) serves as the primary contact for information, guidance and assistance in policies and procedures
Maintains non-program Peace Corps Volunteer (PCV) Records, Reports and Documentation; processes and documents;
Provides travel, logistical support services; and performs other appropriate and necessary functions to assure timely, accurate and adequate levels of support for Peace Corps Volunteers in Romania.
Maintains files, administrative records, and databases;
Assists CD with annual surveys;
Takes a lead role in the preparation of the PCRo reports, soliciting articles from staff and PCVs, designing the newsletter and distributing to PCRo community and others.
Periodically contacts PCVs to inquire as to how they are doing and to see if they need any assistance from PCRo.
Makes reservations and obtains air tickets for official staff and PCV official travel;
Provides travel and logistics services for official guests during temporary duty, consultations or visits to Peace Corps Romania;
Completes special projects for the PCRo staff as guided by the CD.
Assists with translation of official documents.
As a professional position, it is anticipated that at times the duties and deadlines of this position may require the incumbent to work beyond normal working hours.
