Migration Engineer

Technical Skills Desired:
C/C++ programming - 3+ years on UNIX /Linux.
Java programming at least 1 years experience.
Experience in a scripting language like Perl or tcl/tk is an added advantage
Hands-on experience in app development/maintenance/migration on Unix side
Basic skills on admin and Unix internals

Fluent English – oral and written

Soft skills required:
Strong analytical skills working in a highly complex IT environment.
Ability to assimilate information and build new expertise quickly
Strong interpersonal skills: able to collaborate and work in a virtual team, good initiative and follow-up
Flexibility to travel
Ability to speak another language is a plus (German, Spanish, French, Italian)

Wish list: Nice to have, not mandatory:
Oracle (Strong Database Programming Skills Required: like Oracle OCI, SQL, Stored Procedures etc...), Experience with Oracle Database and Application Migration is a plus, Experience with Other Database Migration (DB2, informix, Sybase) is a plus, Operating Systems : HP-UX and Linux, SUN Solaris or IBM-AIX, Experience with System Configurations is a plus (installations, configurations, virtualizations, clustering, HA, etc...), SAP Certified Technology Consultant - SAP NetWeaver - OS/DB Migration for SAP System, SAP Certified Technology Associate (or Professional etc..) - System Administration (Oracle DB) with SAP Netweaver 7.0, Migration Experience with SAP R3/Load Method and R3/Load Migration Tools, Experience with SAP Upgrade and SAP Unicode Conversions, Database Systems: Oracle (DBA Knowledge), Experience with Oracle Migrations - Oracle Export/Import, Oracle Transportable Tablespace other database experience

We are currently looking for migration engineers to work for one of our international clients in Bucharest.

Start: Januar 2010
Duration: at least 1 Jahr

Requirements:
Advanced working Knowledge of C++ in UNIX / Linux / Windows environment.

Strong OO Design / architectural skills / re-factoring skills.

Strong background of OO systems/programs and problem solving skills

In-depth Knowledge of at least one operating system

Knowledge of network programming (Sockets, IPC) is a plus

Good communication skills and influencing skills

Should be a team player and demonstrate leadership skills.
