Embedded Automotive Software - Summer Practice Positions -Students

Preferred Abilities:

- University studies ongoing (related to embedded SW, controls, electrical or electronic eng. or informatics, mechanical engineering, physics)
- Balance of software engineering and / or control engineering skills
- Software development in C, C++, including microcontroller software
- Good understanding of automotive systems
- Good communication skills in English (German a plus)
- Creativity, initiative, understanding/comunication/reaction to issues, good teamwork in virtual environments, ability to learn by doing
- Analytical skills and learning capacity (e.g. understanding of vehicle dynamics)
- Self-discipline, reliability, consistency
- Control algorithm development in preferred C or Matlab/Simulink

For the Timisoara Engineering Centre and applied research facility on automotive development and software testing, in collaboration with TRW Automotive, BeeSpeed Automation Ltd. and Institute e-Austria Timisoara are recruiting Students for the Summer Practice period - part time positions.

Overview:

A number of positions for the summer practice period are on offer in the area of Microcontroller Software Testing, Software Tools Development and Embedded Software Development within the area of automotive embedded software for electronic stability control. A period of training to suit the activities will be planned as appropriate for the individual candidates.

Positions & Activities:

- Develop Tests for different subsystems in the software (test planning, test design, test cases)
- Maintain existing tests and asssure appropriate coverage/relevance
- Test Validation
- Coordinate testing process improvements with testing and development teams for requirements through to design, coding, testing and analysis
- Develop and maintain different software tools used in the testing process
- Develop and maintain different software tools used in the software development or software testing process
